I'm a Wildlife and Countryside Advisor. I've always had an interest in natural history and am fortunate to have made a career based around this enthusiasm. My role within NT is primarily to help and advise property colleagues on the conservation of wildlife habitats and species, from the seashore at Sandscale Haws to the high mountains of the central lakes. Outside of work I like to keep fit running in the fells, swimming the lakes and biking elsewhere.
The National Trust is Europe's largest conservation charity. In the Lake District, we look after a
quarter of the National Park, 125 mountains, 24 lakes, 59 listed buildings, 14 holiday cottages, 3
campsites and 90 tenanted farms. We welcome 19 million visitors throughout the year, opening the
Lakes up for ever, for everyone - Four seasons, One Lake District.
