Make a mud pie

Season:Any
Duration:2 hours or less
Activity:For kids - things to do before you're 11¾

Head for the foreshore at Silverdale to find good sticky mud for a lovely messy day. You can even take a bucket and spade to help you make the perfect pie!

We get lots and lots of rain in the Lake District so wherever you go after a downpour you're likely to stumble across an excess of squishy squelchy mud! It's probably common sense but try not to eat your delicious looking mud pie after you have created it. And don't forget to wash your hands afterwards.
