Start from Stickle Ghyll Car Park and walk up to the Ghyll. From here you can scramble all the way up the ghyll to Stickle Tarn. The Ghyll is quite wide so there are lots of options and routes to take. Makes for a far more interesting and exciting way to reach the tarn. Water needs to be low so you can reach the tarn without getting wet, preferably a summer activity. Once you have reached the tarn you can walk back down the path back to the carpark. If you are still full of energy, you could extend your walk up to Harrison Stickle to make a circular route.
Hi, I spent my childhood living in the Lake district, exploring the rivers and mountains as I grew up. I recently returned to the area after having traveled and lived in other parts of the UK. It is great to be back walking the Lakes with a pick and shovel repairing and maintaining the upland footpaths.
