Watch the sun wake up

Season:Any
Duration:2 hours or less
Activity:For kids - things to do before you're 11¾

You'll need lots of determination for this one as you'll have to get up very early (when it's still dark outside) so you can watch the sun come up in time.

Blea Tarn is a fabulous place to be first thing in the morning; the views of the tarn and the sun creeping up from behind the hills. You might even be lucky enough to see beautiful oranges and pinks painted across the early morning sky....

We suggest you wear a warm coat and take a torch with you - it can be chilly in the mornings especially in the autumn and winter months!

Further Information

If you'd like to stay up late rather than get up early, you can watch the sun set instead! We suggest Jack Scout or Saltom Pit for exceptional views.
