Activity:For kids - things to do before you're 11¾
Make for the Duddon Valley in the west of Cumbria – there are loads of tributaries at Wrynose Bottom!
Gather your dam-building supplies nearby the river; twigs, branches, stones and rocks are good tools. Pick a narrow part of the tributary or stream you have decided to dam and make sure it's not too big or too deep. Also remember to break down the dam too, before you leave!
